The Songbird is located at 440 Mount Rushmore Road in Custer,
South Dakota. We could try to give directions, but that would confuse some
of you - and men wouldn’t read them anyway. Besides, Custer
is a small town. Just drive down Rushmore Road (“Main Street”)
and look along the south side for the yellow umbrellas in our cozy
sidewalk area or our artisan-made (really cool) signs. You’ll
find us, don’t worry.

A LITTLE BAD NEWS:
Unexpected events have forced us to make a tough decision. We lost key staff with no warning and due to other committments cannot advertise/interview/hire/train replacements in a manner that would allow us to keep going without a major interruption. While Joy and I have loved much about the Songbird - music - laughter - new friends - great food/coffee - we have also had a big dose of dissappointment and stress. This latest disruption has simply been too much for us. The result - The Songbird Cafe will be closing at the end of September. It took all we could muster to hang in until then.
We can't predict the future, but our intent is to sell the business. Over the next few weeks we will be closing down, taking inventory and evaluating sale options. If you or someone you know has an interest in building on our foundation and keeping the dream alive, keep an eye on our website www.songbird365.com as we intend to put basic information about the sale there.
